What is the Device tab?
The Device tab is not available for every industry. The availability of the tab depends on the industry you specified during registration.
The Device tab displays the technical details (context-sensitive) of the item. The device tab provides technical details of affected items such as type, model, serial number, asset tag, supplier, mac address, whether an item is in warranty or not, etc.

Definitions
Field | Description |
---|---|
Category | Displays the category of the fix |
Type | Displays the type of the device |
Model | Displays the model name of the device |
Asset Tag | Displays the asset tag of the device |
Serial | Displays the serial number of the device |
Mac Address | Displays the Mac Address of the device |
OS | Displays the operating system that is installed on the device |
Supplier | Displays the supplier of the device |
Host Name | Displays the Host Name |
Product Line | Displays the Product Line the device belongs to |
Warranty Type | Displays the type of warranty |
In Warranty | Displays if the device is in warranty or not |
Note | Room for additional notes |
Swap device (context-sensitive)
A swap takes place when the current original device is meanwhile being fixed.
The Swap Device and/or Replace Device sections appear as separate sections depending on the project and if applicable. They consist of the elements described in the table above.
Replace device (context-sensitive)
A replacement is usually considered in the case that a device is so broken that it can't be fixed with spare parts anymore.
